KIDS MINISTRY (K-8)

WELCOME TO SETON’S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION MINISRTY

Our Religious Education Program supports the formation and sacramental preparation of children in grades K through 8. It builds on the religious foundation you provide at home through your witness, faith, and family life. Together, we help children deepen their relationship with God, family, and the parish community.

Classes are held in the classrooms of Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School on Mondays.

  • Grades K–6: 4:30–6:00 PM

  • Grades K–8: 6:30–8:00 PM
    (Grades 7 and 8 attend only during the 6:30–8:00 PM session.)

Class Schedule and Start Date

  • Open House and Information Pickup: Sunday, September 7, 2025, during the Parish Picnic

  • First Day of Classes: Monday, September 15, 2025

Family Medical Form

Please complete a separate medical form for your family. Include:

  • Family name (and any differing last names)

  • Allergies, conditions, or medications

  • Indicate if your student has an IEP or 504 plan and whether a classroom aide is requested

A Student Accommodations Form will be mailed in August 2025. You do not need to submit the IEP/504 itself. The accommodations form helps us tailor your child’s experience and will be shared confidentially with their catechist. If you believe your child would benefit from one-on-one classroom support, please let us know so we can do our best to provide a Faith Companion.

Office Hours and Summer Closure

  • Religious Education Office Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Church Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM; Sunday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • RE Office is closed during July and reopens Monday, August 4. During July, forms may be submitted to the parish office.

Photo Release

Throughout the year, students participate in prayer services, retreats, and church tours. These moments may be photographed and used in the parish bulletin, on bulletin boards, or parish social media.

Please indicate on your form if we may or may not use your child’s photo. If no selection is made, we will assume permission is not granted. Student names will never be published.

Please complete:

  • All student information

  • Emergency contacts

  • Current email addresses (for weather alerts and emergency notices)

  • A copy of each student’s Baptism certificate (and First Eucharist certificate, if applicable)

  • Transfer form if student is coming from another parish (Grades 2–7 only)

Returned forms are numbered as they are received and processed in that order.

Registration Submission

Forms can be:

  • Dropped off at the Church Office

  • Mailed to the Church Office

Do not delay submission due to payment concerns.

Tuition and Payment

Payment is accepted by:

  • Cash or check (payable to St. Elizabeth Seton Religious Education)

  • Electronic payment through GiveCentral

Please make full payment or an initial payment. All balances are due by June 27, 2025. Payments will appear as “contribution” but will be recorded as tuition.
