Rebranding the SES and SSDM Youth Ministry to, Stephen’s and Elizabeth’s Nourishing Disciples (S.E.N.D.)
VISION STATEMENT
Centered on our Catholic Faith, Spiritual Nourishment, THE EUCHARIST, and as Jesus SENT out his Disciples to all ends of the earth to nourish others in His word and deed, we are being nourished in living out the Gospel in our daily lives to nurture others we encounter.
Upcoming Youth Events
Tuesday, April 30 — Weekly Youth Ministry Gathering (All meet at SSDM Youth Room), 6:30-8:30pm.
SYMA, Recreational Co-Ed Youth and College Age Young Adult Softball
NEW! Games are played on all Mondays starting June 10, ending on July 29. It is an open roster, so attend if you can make it. Equipment will be provided. Games start at 6:30pm and will be played at St Cristina’s Fields, 3721 W. 111th St., Chicago. A youth’s parent/guardian consent form is required to participate. Contact John Sobol if interested.
SSYMA Co-Ed Youth Pickleball
Starting on Thursday, Apr. 4 and will be played on all Thursdays through the end of May. It is an open roster, so attend if you can make it. Equipment will be provided. Games start at 7:30 pm and will be played at Our Lady of the Woods, 10731 W. 131st St., Orland Park. A youth’s parent/guardian consent form is required to participate in games. “Hope’s on the Way,” Buckets of Hope, Catholic Relief Service
May 4/May 5 — SES & SSDM Youth volunteers needed to collect filled buckets from parishioners at entrance doors. ne hour of service (signed off on by Deacon John Sobol). Contact Deacon John Sobol to volunteer to participate.
